"Rural Outreach Program" in Fort Yates, ND!

Program Learning Experiences

·    Philosophy-based curriculum implemented by experienced full-time faculty with K-12 teaching experience

     ·    Participation in global experiences:

      o    Global Experience (Italy)Global Experience (Italy) 

      o    Global Experience (South Korea)

    ·     Participation in the Emerging Leaders Academy, a four-
   year program in educational leadership

·    Participation in the Institute for Educational Leadership, an educational leadership conference held at the University of Mary

·    Involvement in professional organizations (e.g. North Dakota Education Association) as either participants and/or presenters

·    Full-time teaching experiences in classrooms with licensed teachers prior to student teaching that provide unique hands-on teaching opportunities

·    Mentoring and collaborative research opportunities with full-time faculty

·    Unique teaching experiences such as the "Disabilities Awareness Program" for rural communities that help students develop the professional skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to become an effective teacher (student teacher portfolios)
