To earn a Bachelor of University Studies, you must:
- Earn a minimum of 128 semester hours of credit, to include the following University of Mary core course requirements:
Liberal Arts: Minimum of 56 credits and 14 courses:
Humanities: Three courses
COM 109: Oral Communication
ENG 103: Written Communication
Your Choice (recommend a second writing course)
Aesthetics: One course
Mathematics/Natural Sciences: Three courses
Your choice from mathematics including statistics
Your choice from biology, science, chemistry (recommend
one lab science)
Philosophy/Theology: Three courses
Your choice, but recommend at least one ethics course
Social & Behavioral Sciences: Three courses
Your choice, but recommend at least one of each from
psychology, sociology, and history or political science
Two additional liberal arts courses from any of the above academic
areas (recommend at least one semester of foreign language)

Fulfill a minimum of 28 credits toward an area of concentration (optional)

Fulfill residency requirement of 32 University of Mary semester credits

Take a minimum of 44 credits in 300- and 400-level courses

Maintain a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale each semester and to fulfill graduation GPA requirement

Meet with your academic advisor at least two times per semester

Attend to all university obligations

Submit an application for graduation in the Registrar’s Office during the semester prior to the semester in which you will complete requirements for graduation.
