I began teaching at the University of Mary in 1996, after having worked for 20 years in various fields of social work including mental health and child welfare. I founded and directed an international adoption agency for 20 years and currently am working part-time in the home health and hospice fields. I have helped to develop global internship experiences for social work students in India and Guatemala. I enjoy immensely the opportunity to work with students in the Emerging Leaders Academy and PACS (student association) as they engage in community service.
