I have been a member of the Division of Education faculty at the University of Mary since 1989. My first position at the University of Mary was that of head men's basketball coach and Physical Education Program coordinator. In 1995 I was hired as the Student Teaching Program director, a position I held until 2003 when I was hired as the chair of the Division of Education. I teach curriculum and teaching methods courses at the undergraduate level and statistics and research methodology courses at the graduate level.
Community Interests
On Teaching . . .
"To become an effective and competent teacher requires two characteristics: passion and commitment. Our challenge as instructors in the Division of Education is to model those characteristics for our students and to help each student develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that will help all children learn." -- Rod Jonas
