On behalf of the faculty of the Division of Nursing, I would like to welcome you to the University of Mary, America’s Leadership University. The baccalaureate nursing program is designed to educate nurses who are prepared to lead and to serve. Graduate nursing programs build on this foundation to prepare nurses for leadership capabilities in advanced practice. Our faculty are dedicated experts in their field of practice.

Professional nurses are in high demand nationally. We prepare nurses to practice in a variety of health care settings, from acute, hospital-based care to a wide variety of community-based settings. The Bismarck area offers a rich environment for students to engage in high-quality learning opportunities. Our undergraduate student/faculty ratio in acute settings of 6-to-1 enables close personal contact and enriched learning experiences.

The Division of Nursing's baccalaureate and master's programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the North Dakota Board of Nursing. We prepare nurses with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful and to lead the profession forward.

I invite you to visit our Web pages to gain a deeper understanding of the nursing program. If you have any questions regarding the nursing programs, please feel free to contact me or any of our well-qualified faculty. Transfer students, please contact Joan Weltz at jweltz@umary.edu for admission information and transcript evaluations.
