Student Support Services is a federal grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Education. The Student Support Services (SSS) grant is designed to aid institutions that typically admit high numbers of low income and first generation students.
To be eligible to participate in SSS the following eligibility criteria is required:
- The student must be a citizen or national of the United States or meets the residency requirements for federal student financial assistance.
- The student must be currently enrolled at the University of Mary or accepted for enrollment in the next academic term.
- The student has a NEED FOR ACADEMIC SUPPORT, as determined by SSS in order to pursue successfully a post secondary educational program.
- The student meets federal low-income guidelines (see taxable income table) or
- Your parents DID NOT complete four-year bachelor level degrees, or
- You are qualified under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
