The University of Mary’s Speech-Language Clinic
The University of Mary’s Speech-Language Clinic offers services free of charge to individuals in need who are uninsured or underinsured. The clinic serves a range of populations from birth to adulthood.
The Speech-Language Clinic is part of the speech-language pathology program. Services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of Speech-Language Pathology faculty who are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners: Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
Our clinic provides evaluation and treatment for the following:
- Accent management
- Cognitive communication
- Communication needs related to neurogenic conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, dementia, and stroke
- Communication needs requiring assistive technology
- Communication needs related to autism
- Feeding and swallowing
- Stuttering
- Language
- SPEAK OUT!, a program developed by the Parkinson Voice Project, which targets improved communication skills for individuals with Parkinson’s
- Speech sound disorders
- Voice and resonance disorders
