About Me
Who I am as a person, a counselor educator, and a therapist is an evolving process influenced by my personal and professional experiences. I have found that I value relationships, hard work, loyalty, and time to reflect. I have faith in God and things bigger than myself that are not fully understood but felt. I have learned that you do what it takes and never give up, which leads me to be inspired by the human spirit and ability to overcome and thrive.
Why I’m At MaryI feel at home at Mary. The person that I am outside of work and at work are the same. I can be free to be me. I embrace the Benedictine values by serving the students and my colleagues, loving God, and walking alongside others in their journey. Mary facilitates connection, faith, and personal growth through a community of hospitality.
Expertise
Before becoming an educator, I spent 10+ years working with children and their families as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, working to prevent out-of-home placement for at-risk youth. I have a passion for both counseling families and the education of future counselors. I offer a strength-based, person-centered approach in counseling and emphasize counselor wellness and self-care in my educational role.
