About Me

As an adjunct professor, I mentor graduate nursing students through their cumulative evidence-based practice projects. I also work with other faculty members to guide the Institutional Review Board process for these projects. I appreciate the value the University places on nursing leadership through the doctoral degree programs. I am proud to be a part of shaping the future of health care as we challenge the students and expose them to ideas and models of care they have not experienced. Nursing education is influencing our nation's health care systems, and the University of Mary is advancing the impact of nurses.

Why I’m At Mary

As a student, I worked in senior health care. I discovered how my voice and opinion mattered in the nursing profession as I spoke up for a not-so-well known area of the health care system. My professors valued my perspective and I choose to follow their footsteps, encouraging nurse leaders and students to advocate the for populations they are passionate about.

Expertise

I have bedside nursing experience in nearly every care setting: senior care, ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural. I have held leadership positions in quality, care management, and executive nursing roles. My education started as an LPN, and I progressed through each degree a nurse can obtain: AAN, BSN, MSN, and DNP with a professional certification in Quality.
