Supporting the University of Mary

The mission of annual giving is to create a stable base of gift income to provide annual support for operations, special projects, and institutional scholarships. Supporting the University of Mary enables the university to continue to grow as a high-quality, financially sound institution and to ensure that we continue to thrive as we become more and more widely known as a serious, Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine university.

The University of Mary offers a variety of ways for our friends to support the mission of this university. Our clubs and circles are set up into giving categories based on an annual giving model and our societies are created on a basis of lifetime giving.

Alumni Club

$250/year ($21 a month) up to $2,500

  • Receive Momentum magazine
  • Two tickets to Homecoming Alumni Banquet and all alumni events
  • Recognition of level in Momentum Annual Report

President’s Club

$500/year ($42 a month) in annual support

  • Receive Momentum magazine
  • Two seats at the President’s Club Dinner
  • Tertiary eligibility for the Pilgrimage to Rome
  • Recognition of level in Momentum Annual Report

President’s Club Gold

$1,000/year ($85 a month) in annual support

  • Receive Momentum magazine
  • Two seats at the President’s Club Dinner
  • Secondary eligibility for the Pilgrimage to Rome
  • Recognition of level in Momentum Annual Report

Founder’s Circle

$5,000/year ($417 a month) in annual support

  • Receive Momentum magazine
  • Two seats at the Candlelight Gala

  • Primary eligibility for the Pilgrimage to Rome

St. Benedict’s Circle

$25,000 in annual support

  • 50% discount on facility usage at the University of Mary

Heritage Society

Heritage Society members are inspired by the courageous example of the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery in their belief in servant leadership as a means to create a better world.

$50,000 in cumulative support (over 5 years) or deferred gift of at least $100,000

  • Heritage Society recognition in Our Lady of the Word Chapel
  • Heritage Society medal
  • Invitation for four to the annual Heritage Society Dinner
  • Recognition of level in Momentum Annual Report

Lumen Vitae Society

Lumen Vitae Society members are led by the Light of Life to spread the joy and achievement of an education built on the eternal values of lifelong learning and service.

  • Inducted at the Candlelight Gala

Legacy Society

Legacy Society members respond to the inspiration of the courageous spirit of our Benedictine Sisters to invest in the betterment of the university through their giving.

Legacy membership can be bestowed as an honorarium or for an individual/couple. No membership will be bestowed to corporate gifts, foundation gifts (unless a family foundation on behalf of the individual/couple), or families. The aforementioned groups would still be recognized through the Legacy Society.

$5,000,000 + Lifetime Giving (outright or IPG*)

  • Prominent recognition on campus agreed upon by the university and the donor
  • Custom trip to Rome with Monsignor Shea and audience with the Pope
  • Annual dinner with the University President
  • Walk at graduation and special events
  • Receive a personal recognition item
